Not the high upgrade price. 8d does everything I need it to doThere's a few programs that I sort of do the automatic update when it comes along. Sound Forge and Adobe's CS Master suite are among them as was SONAR. then there's the plugins I support like all the iZotope, IKM and Native Intruments ohhhh don't get me started 'cause I'll want to go look for an update to buy. If I don't have them you can bet that's the day I have a client come in and wants that version.

So I generally try to have the latest version of whatever software i use. It's a good excuse to keep updating.
