Skyrim Crashes After Bethesda Logo No Mods
I've played the game last year with no problems and I have around 20 mods. Skyrim crashing before logo? (and inbound/outbound skyrim), I've tried. Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, but some serious advice would be well and truly appreciated. I recently purchased a new laptop,.
I had not played Skyrim for 1-2 weeks and decided to add a few mods (CNHF body) before playing it again. I noticed that the game would crash right before or after loading.
So I tried starting a new game in which case it crashes when it about finishes showing the 'SKYRIM' title (when it says 'Bethesda presents' while you are riding in the cart). I did uncheck all mods, made no difference. After that a fresh install; including deleting all Skyrim files that were not deleted after the Steam uninstall. Pc shuts down immediately. I also deleted the whole saves and ini folder.

Reinstalled DirectX 10. Still no luck.
I did not have this problem before.Running Dell Studio XPS 1640 on W7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit: Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 @ 2.53 GHz. You can keep your mods safe in a folder of your choice of course.How you do it:First do a standard uninstall. I have checked the integrity of my game files, and I have also tried to play offline. I have also tried adding the Steam and Saves directories to the exception list of my AV program, and have even deleted my AV program, all to no avail.
The size of my previous save files is not relevant since I have the same problem with a new game, and since I have deleted the save files and currently have none.
